SERVICES: 10:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2011, at First Christian Church, with Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Smith was born January 18, 1929 in Decatur. He attended grammar school in Texas, moving to Oklahoma and graduating from Marlow High School in Marlow, Oklahoma. He was a 1950 graduate of the University of Oklahoma with a B. S. degree in civil engineering. Upon graduation, Price moved to the Pampa area where he met Carolyn Foss in Borger, and they were married on June 20, 1952 in Borger. He worked for a local builder in Pampa, and would later start Price T. Smith, Inc. in Borger. Price built homes throughout the Panhandle, including Amarillo, Pampa, Borger and Tulia, among others. He was a member of the Lamar Christian Church where he served as chairman of the building committee and the Board of Elders. Price was a current member of First Christian Church in Pampa. He served as president of the Panhandle Builders Association and was a member of the Pampa Senior Citizens Board, the Board of the First National Bank of Borger, Knife and Fork Club, Pampa Fine Arts Association, and Pampa Community Concert. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be sorely missed. SURVIVORS: wife: Carolyn Smith of the home; a son: Rick Smith and wife Jennie of Katy; 2 grandsons: Erich Temilton Smith and Elliott Hale Smith, both of Katy; a granddaughter: Emily Rebekah Smith of Katy; and numerous cousins. Price was preceded in death by his parents: George and Elizabeth Smith.MEMORIALS: First Christian Church, 1633 N. Nelson, Pampa, Texas 79065.
