Calvin Winters, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch, officiating.BURIAL: White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Diggs was born Feb. 24, 1932 in Eldorado, Arkansas. She graduated from West Texas State University in Canyon in May of 1964 with a bachelor's degree in education. She later received her master's degree from WTSU. Mary began teaching first grade in the fall of 1964 and retired from the White Deer ISD in 2000 after 36 years of service. She later taught for several years at Wilson Elementary in Pampa. She was a member of First Baptist Church in White Deer where she played the organ. Mary enjoyed Sunday school and mission work, traveling to Russia, Brazil, Peru, France, and Spain. She was a member of the White Deer Senior Citizens Center and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She made her primary purpose in life to serve the Lord.SURVIVORS: a daughter: Melinda Meadows and husband Roger of Edmond, OK; 2 sons: Frank Diggs and wife Tammy of White Deer and Wayne Diggs and wife Sherry of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother: Robert Jewell and wife Joann of Whitesboro; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
