SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, February 28, 2011, at the Miami Cemetery in Miami, with Chris O'Loughlin, his son, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. O'Loughlin was born May 13, 1941 in Pampa to William E. and Edith J. Odom O'Loughlin. Upon graduating high school, he attended McMurry University in Abilene where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1972. He was a rancher until the age of 30, when he moved to Weslaco where he became the assistant manager of Texaco Wholesale, and also retired as a school teacher from WISD in 2001. Bill was an Eagle Scout, honorary member of the FFA, assistant scout master and a member of Alpha Chi. He was also a member and advisor of the Cowboy Church of the Valley in Mercedes and was an ordained minister. Bill greatly enjoyed his horses, cattle, his collection of guns and knives, but most of all, he loved his wife, children and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter: Wendy Michelle O'Loughlin; and brother-in-law: Glenn Smith.SURVIVORS: his loving wife: Virginia Ann O'Loughlin of the home; 3 sons: Jeff O'Loughlin and wife Laura of East Africa, Chris O'Loughlin and wife Tracy and Sean O'Loughlin and wife Tiffany, all of Weslaco; 8 grandchildren: Brendan, Liam, Shjon, Sidney, Ry Ann, Hayden, Isabella and Taylor; and a sister: Ann O'Loughlin of Midland.
