Mike Watson, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Dawes was born July 24, 1927 in Delaware, Oklahoma. She attended school in Delaware, and graduated from Lefors High School. She married her childhood sweetheart, John Dawes on January 22, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. Nina was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of Highland Baptist Church and a current member of Hobart Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and embroidery. Nina loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.SURVIVORS: husband: John Dawes of the home; daughter: Shirley Bray of Amarillo; son: Henry Dawes and wife Marian of Pampa; 5 grandchildren: Windy O'Neill, Shawn Dawes and Jarrett Bray, all of Amarillo, Nathan Dawes of Canyon, and Jessica Howell of Pampa; 4 great-grandchildren: Raiden Bray and Gavin Bray, both of Amarillo, Kamber Howell of Pampa and Kaitlin Dawes of Canyon; brother: Donald Maple of West Virginia.
