SERVICES: 4:00 PM Friday, February 18, 2011, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Dallas Stringer, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Cremation will follow the services, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Blackmon was born July 2, 1946 in Gatesville. He attended schools in Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School in 1964. He married Vicki Ellis in 1970 in Pampa. He worked at Cabot/Ingersol Rand/IRI International for 20 plus years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Harold liked to collect knives. He especially enjoyed the outdoors where he liked to camp and fish. He absolutely adored his children and grandchildren.SURVIVORS: wife: Vicki Blackmon of the home; 2 sons: Shawn Blackmon and wife Camille of Happy, and Josh Blackmon and wife Courtney of Pampa; 2 brothers: Kenneth McAnally and wife Gila of Rio Vista, and Keith McAnally and wife Nancy of Mexia; a sister: Mary Nelson and husband John of Douglas, Wyoming; 3 grandsons: Joey, Jarrod and Vinny; and many treasured nieces and nephews. Harold was preceded in death by a brother: Junior McAnally, and his parents.MEMORIALS: LifeGift Organ Donation Center of West Texas, 1200 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, Texas 79106, or a favorite charity.
