She graduated from Pampa High School and attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1944. She married Robert "Bob" French on January 18, 1952 in Pampa, and he preceded her in death. She was a member of First Baptist Church, and she was a homemaker.SURVIVORS: son: James Lance French of Pampa; daughter: Lainie French of Amarillo; brother: Andy Tarrant of Smackover, Arkansas; 7 grandchildren: Julie Ann Towles of Iowa Park, Misty Lea Singleton of Little Elm, Kevin Daniel French, Rhiannon Lee French, and Gary Eldridge French, all of Dallas, Keith Christian Cuylar Brewer and Lauryn Anne Gollihugh, both of Amarillo, and 7 great-grandchildren.
