Wesley Holland, minister of First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie, officiating.BURIAL: Mobeetie Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Corse was born December 21, 1931 on the family ranch in Hemphill County where he lived until his death. He graduated from Mobeetie High School in 1949. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. Douglas married Mary Aline Walker on April 21, 1954 in Mobeetie. She preceded him in death on January 1, 2002. He later married Patricia Trimble on August 4, 2002 in Mobeetie. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Mobeetie, the American Legion, and the V.F.W. He was a member of the Wheeler County Stock Show Board, and served on the Mobeetie ISD School Board for 14 years. SURVIVORS: wife: Patricia Corse of the home; son: Steve Corse and wife Samie of Mobeetie; 2 daughters: Zana Jones and husband Rick of Claude, and Jana Corse of Amarillo; stepson: Eldon Eads of Pampa; 2 stepdaughters: Neta Cornelison of Midland and Brandie Killebrew of Guilford, Connecticut; 5 grandchildren: Davis Corse of Mobeetie, Haley Jones and Ashley Jones, both of Claude, Taylor Cornelison of Midland, and Katy Tracy of Pampa. Douglas was preceded in death by a brother: Wallace Corse in 1972.MEMORIALS: First United Methodist Church, Mobeetie, Texas 79061.
