SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Brad Kidder of Harvest Bible Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hunter was born January 11, 1940 in Richmond, Indiana. He married Jeannie Toensing on July 25, 1970 in Hampton, Iowa. He had been a resident of Pampa since July 1, 2006, moving from Prue, Oklahoma, where he was mayor in the early 2000's. He worked as a machinist for Whentley Machine in Tulsa, Oklahoma for 20 years. When he was younger, he enjoyed traveling the United States, and he loved fishing and playing the guitar.SURVIVORS: wife: Jeannie Hunter of the home; a son: Kelsey Jay Hunter and wife Lynn of Odessa; 2 sisters: Margaret Rowe and Rebecca Mullins, both of Connersville, Indiana; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Drs. Al and Patrice Toensing of Tucson, Arizona, and Mary Lou Chambers of Pampa; 3 grandchildren: Dustin Gavlichek of Clovis, New Mexico, Fredrick Micheal Hunter of Odessa, and a grandbaby on the way. He was preceded in death by a son: Frederick Louis Hunter in 1992, and a brother: Virgil Hunter.
