Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Lockhart was born November 2, 1930 in Pampa where he was a lifelong resident. He attended school in Laketon through the 6th grade, and was a 1947 graduate of Pampa High School. He married Jan Sanders on September 4, 1954 in Pampa. He received his Bachelor's degree in finance from Texas Tech University in 1955 where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, serving during the Korean Conflict. Charles was the former owner of Gray County Abstract. He raised exotic animals and also farmed and ranched. He was a member of Harvest Bible Church, formerly Bible Church of Pampa. SURVIVORS: wife: Jan Lockhart of the home; 2 daughters: Susan Braddock of Pampa, and Sharon Seymore and husband Robert of Lubbock; 4 grandsons: Jay Braddock of Los Angeles, California, John Braddock, Ben Seymore and Cade Seymore, all of Lubbock.
