SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Kiowa, Oklahoma with Rev. Dennis Piearcy, pastor of First Baptist Church of Kiowa, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Ketcherside was born May 23, 1918 in Stonewall, Oklahoma. She attended school in Lula, Oklahoma. She married George Ketcherside in 1939 in Colgate, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death in 1983. Bertha had been a resident of Pampa since 1993, moving from Kiowa, Oklahoma. She was a former member of First Baptist Church in Kiowa, and was a current member of First Baptist Church in Pampa. She loved to read her Bible and work with plastic canvas art. She will be remembered as a loving and kind mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she will be dearly missed.SURVIVORS: a son: Vance Ketcherside and wife Barbara of Pampa; 4 grandsons: Gary Dwayne Ketcherside and wife Lorna and Tory Dwight Ketcherside, all of Amarillo, Danny Kent Ketcherside of Dallas, and Joseph Robert Ketcherside and wife Charissa of Columbia, South Carolina; 4 granddaughters: Davena Jo House and husband David of Amarillo, Miranda Gay Slover of Lubbock, Theresa Noble and husband Butch of Pampa, and Angie Watkins and husband Fred of Saginaw; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; her sister: Alma Rogers of Colgate, Oklahoma; special friend: Marge Walker of Pampa; and many nieces and nephews. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
