SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Jana Snider and Gary Snider, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Downey was born February 23, 1918 in Seminole, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1953. She married L. W. Downey on December 23, 1967 in Pampa. She was a homemaker.SURVIVORS: husband: L. W. Downey of the home; 2 daughters: Betty Tuck of Winnsboro and Linda Davis of Amarillo; 5 sons: Jewell Snider and Tom Snider, both of Pampa, Charlie Snider of Amarillo, Gary Snider of Borger, and Jim Snider of Dayton; 15 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sons: Gene Snider and Billy Snider; and her parents: Charles and Dora Paslay. MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, 800 N. Sumner, Pampa, Texas 79065.
