Peggy Downs

SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Friday, December 31, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, with Ed Dufur, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Downs was born July 12, 1937 in Avery. She attended schools in Dumas. She married Glenn Downs on July 9, 1955 in Moore County. Peggy worked as a dental assistant in Roswell, New Mexico and Dumas for many years before moving to the Gray County area in 1982. She was a member of the First Assembly of God. Peggy loved cooking, canning, decorating and gardening. She always put her family first and will be greatly missed.SURVIVORS: husband: Glenn Downs of the home; son: Rick Downs and wife Darlene of Childress; daughter: Starla Williams of Ada, Oklahoma; 2 granddaughters: Twila Gallob of Hotchkiss, Colorado, and Seresa Wiggins of Ada, Oklahoma; a grandson: Scott Downs of Amarillo; 2 great-granddaughters: Aarlayn Gallob of Hotchkiss, Colorado, and Kyla Daulton of Ada, Oklahoma; 2 great-grandsons: Christian Wiggins of Ada, Oklahoma; and Ryker Gallob of Hotchkiss, Colorado; 2 brothers: Sonny Dickey and Jerry Dickey and wife Wazetta, all of Amarillo; and a sister: Audrey Dickey of Amarillo.MEMORIALS: BSA Hospice, P.
