Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Welch was born June 3, 1935 in Amarillo, where he had been a lifelong resident. He was a graduate of Amarillo High School where he played football, and he later played football at Wichita State University. He worked for Panhandle Engraving for many years. He was a pilot and an animal lover.SURVIVORS: a son: Ken Welch, Jr., and wife Lynn of Cedar Park; sister-in-law: Judy Welch of Wilderado; 2 grandsons: Ron Welch and Roger Welch, both of Cedar Park; nieces and nephews: Kelli Splawn, Kevin Welch and Erin Welch.
