SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Bob Hudson, pastor of Bible Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Billie was born Oct. 11, 1929 in Borger, the daughter of Thurman and Elmelda Vaden. She grew up in Phillips, Texas, attending schools there, and graduated from Phillips High School on May 29, 1947. Billie married John Hugh Cox on July 3, 1954 in Pampa where they continued to live and work. They nurtured and raised their family, forming many loving relationships. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Pampa where she had many loving friends who added happiness and laughter to her life. The family would like to thank the staff of Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home and BSA Hospice for the loving care given to Billie in the last year of her life. Billie was preceded in death by her husband, John.SURVIVORS: two sons: Larry Cox and wife Marilee of Greenville, NC and Fred Cox and wife DeLisa of Amarillo; 2 brothers: Richard Vaden of San Mateo, CA and Jerry Vaden and wife Charlou of Dallas; 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.MEMORIALS: In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that charitable contributions be made in Billie's name to Bible Baptist Church, 500 E. Kingsmill, Pampa, TX 79065.SPECIAL NOTICE: The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM - 7:30PM on Sunday.
