SERVICES: Memorial graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 14, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery, with Steve Cox, pastor of St. Paul United Methodist Church, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPY: Mrs. Hughes was born on March 10, 1919 in Gray County, and she was a lifelong resident of Pampa. She married Crawford Hughes in 1933 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. She loved to garden and crochet, but most of all, she loved her grandchildren. She will be missed by all.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Carol Best and husband Don of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Jerry Evans of Pampa; her close friend: Ikie Cooke of Pampa; 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister: Helen Harmon, a great-grandson: Cody Best, and her son.MEMORIALS: St. Paul United Methodist Church, 511 N. Hobart, Pampa, Texas 79065.
