He was a 2008 graduate of Pampa High School where he played varsity football and earned the "Fighting Heart" award. Ryne was named to the Academic All-State Football Team, and in his senior year, was voted Prom King. He was currently a junior at Texas Tech University, majoring in wildlife fisheries and management. His ultimate goal was to become a game warden. Ryne was a member of First Baptist Church in Pampa and Indiana Avenue Baptist College Ministry in Lubbock. He had a tremendous love for God and strived to lead people to Christ. This past summer, he was a counselor at Hidden Falls Ranch in Wayside, Texas, a Christian camp that he loved. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and hiking. His best buddy was his black Labrador retriever, Hanley.
