SERVICES: 2:00 PM, Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, in Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor of Central Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa with Masonic graveside rites courtesy of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Fife was born Nov. 28, 1921 in Yowell, Texas and had been a resident of Pampa since 1954. He married Dorothy Neely on June 17, 1944 in Marietta, Oklahoma. On May 12, 1966, J. B. went to work as a mechanic for Culberson-Stowers Chevrolet, working there for over 30 years, and he was a certified service technician for General Motors for 41 years. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was a member and past master of Pampa Masonic Lodge #966 AF & AM, and he was a past District Deputy Grand Master Education Officer. J. B. was a member of the Lubbock Scottish Rite Consistory, Khiva Shrine Temple of Amarillo, Pampa Shrine Club, and he was a 32nd degree Mason for 46 years. SURVIVORS: wife: Dorothy Fife of the home; a son: Jerry Fife and wife Violeta of Austin; 3 daughters: Sue McGee and husband Lynn of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Donna Langley and husband Dave of Amarillo, and Ruby Jane Mockros and husband Howard of Rapid City, South Dakota; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
