SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, December 6, 2010, at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor, and Rev. John Glover associate pastor of Field Street Baptist Church of Cleburne, officiating. Private burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Allison was born September 15, 1939 in Gregg County, Texas. He was a 1957 graduate of Pine Tree High School in Longview. He served in the U. S. Army during peacetime. Bill married Helen Brock on October 27, 1961 in Pampa. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1985. He was owner and operator of Bill Allison Auto Sales for the past 34 years and also owned Allison Quick Lube for several years. Bill was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church and a member of the Everyman's Bible Class. He was currently serving his second term as Pampa City Commissioner. Bill was an avid golfer. SURVIVORS: wife: Helen Allison of the home; 2 sons: Cody Allison and wife Kim of San Angelo, and Tyler Allison and wife Howdi of Pampa; a daughter: Stephanie Downs and husband Shane of Pampa; his mother: Luella Allison of Lefors; sister: Barbara Darmstadt and husband Jeff of Tyler; brother: Lynn Allison and wife Lynn of Pampa; 9 grandchildren: Andrew Klein of Lefors, Cameron Klein, Austin Brooks, Carson Brooks and Ella Allison, all of Pampa; Ashley Allison, Mary Allison, Caleb Allison and Abigail Allison, all of San Angelo; 3 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Eugene Brock and wife Paula of Pampa. Bill was preceded in death by his father: Marvin Allison.MEMORIALS: PAWS, P.O. Box 2095, Pampa, Texas 79066-2095, or a favorite charity.
