Dr. Jeff Knighton, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Sloan was born June 11, 1923 in Blackburn, Oklahoma. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1930. She married Fred Sloan, Jr., on October 31, 1941 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on July 20, 2004. Leona was a member of First Christian Church, Bethany Bible Class, Pampa Senior Citizens, Pampa Duplicate Bridge Club, and Regent White Sands Chapter DAR. She enjoyed needlepoint, genealogy and playing bridge.SURVIVORS: grandson: Larry E. Sloan and wife Cindy of Huntington Beach, California; 2 granddaughters: Shelly Barrett and husband Brian of Richmond Hill, Georgia, and Tiffany Sloan and husband Jason Aucoin of Gray, Louisiana; 10 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law: Ellen Sloan-Spurgeon and husband Bobby Spurgeon of Palm Harbor, Florida; 2 sisters: Thelma Bailey and husband Bob of Brownfield and Pat Baker of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 2 sisters-in-law: Carol Harper and husband Bill and Margie Walters, all of Amarillo; 2 brothers-in-law: Jack Sloan of Pampa and Herndon Sloan and wife Timmie of Panhandle. She was preceded in death by 2 sons: Larry Sloan and Stephen J. Sloan; her parents: Edith and Kenneth Brannon; and her father: Fred R.
