She attended schools in McLean. She married Robert West in 1955 in Pampa. Carolyn had been a resident of Groom since 1958. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Groom. Carolyn was a homemaker. In her spare time, she enjoyed caring for others who were in need.SURVIVORS: husband: Robert West of the home; 2 daughters: Barbara Schulte and husband Olen of Nazareth, and Victoria Strader of Dallas; 4 sons: Tommy West and Russell West, both of Lubbock, Allen West and wife Jan of Amarillo, and Eric West of Bosier, Louisiana; 2 brothers: Harlan Pool, Jr., of Houston and David Pool and wife Ellen of Amarillo; a sister: Alma Landcaster of Artesia, New Mexico; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.MEMORIALS: Alzheimer's Association, 415 W. 8th Ave., Suite 300, Amarillo, Texas 79101.
