SERVICES: 11:00 AM Friday, November 26, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, Texas, with Rev. Norman Rushing, pastor of Central Baptist Church of Pampa, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Miller was born March 21, 1946 in Pampa and was a 1964 graduate of Pampa High School. At the age of 21, he was an engineer and inspector at Cabot Corporation and P&H. He was heavily involved in green energy, biomedical research, and dermatological research in the cosmetic field. At the time of his death, Mickey had obtained a total of 19 international patents that related to the biomedical, cosmetology, and oil and gas industry. A former resident of Austin, Texas for 22 years, Mickey worked for the Texas Highway Department where he developed polymers for road and bridge construction and repair. He was a former member of Central Baptist Church in Pampa. He was an avid bike enthusiast and marathon runner. For the past 10 years, Mickey had lived in Paradise Valley, Arizona with his beloved dog, Maia.SURVIVORS: son: Mickey Joe "Toot" Miller, II of Dallas, Texas; his mother: Faye Dean Miller of Pampa; a sister: Linda Clemmons and husband Noal of Lefors, Texas; brother: Butch Miller and wife Lana of Templeton, California; his former wife: Wilna Schumate and husband Joel of Temple, Texas; his uncle: Thomas Auwen and wife Judith of Pampa and his uncle: Burt Miller of Billings, Montana; and 2 aunts: Jonnie Humphrey of Bay City, Texas, and Mary Francis Simms-Schmidt of Carlsbad, California; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father: Earl Miller in 1985; and by his grandparents: Joe and Mae Auwen, and Howard and Marie Miller.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, 513 E. Francis, Pampa, Texas 79065, or a favorite charity.
