SERVICES: 4:30 PM Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor of Central Baptist Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. DeWitt was born December 22, 1930 to John Y. and Earcle C. Seitz Wright in Mobeetie on the family farm. She married Noel R. DeWitt on April 7, 1947, and to this union 5 children were born. Emma was a very generous person, always doing for others. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her friends and family. Making quilts, embroidering, playing dominoes and dancing were just a few of her passions. SURVIVORS: husband: Noel R. DeWitt of the home; 3 daughters: Linda McCain and husband Robert, Kay Shephard and husband Dennis, and Cecelia Cloud and husband Alan, all of Pampa; 2 sons: Ray DeWitt, and Damon DeWitt and wife Maggie, all of Pampa; 2 sisters: Beulah McCalflin of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Reba Fields of Pueblo, Colorado; brother: George Wright of Borger; 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother: J.Y. Wright; 2 sisters: Stella Guthrie and Jean Doman.
