SERVICES: 11:00 AM Monday, November 8, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Bob Guillo, minister from Amarillo, officiating.BURIAL: Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM Monday, November 8, 2010, at Citizens Cemetery in Clarendon with military honors courtesy of the U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Swindle was born December 27, 1933 in Donley County. He had been a resident of the Pampa area since 1970. He married Beaulah Faye Teague on June 19, 1955 in Pampa. She preceded him in death in 2005. Clarence was an aircraft mechanic and pilot, and later became a tractor and farm implement mechanic. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the Pampa V.F.W. Post 1657. He volunteered at the Freedom Museum in Pampa.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Valerie Conrad and husband Bill of Amarillo, and Paula Hendrick and companion Heather Creger of St. Louis, Missouri; a sister: Floy Graham of Killeen, and a grandson: Cyle Hendrick of St. Louis, Missouri. Clarence was preceded in death by a son, Michael Allen Swindle, a brother, Tommie Swindle, and a sister, Iva Jean Wildcat.MEMORIALS: Pampa V.F.W. Post 1657, P.O. Box 2684, Pampa, Texas 79066-1657.
