Vesta Lou Forster Thomas

SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, October 25, 2010, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Kyle Ohsfeldt, pastor of Grace Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Thomas was born July 1, 1931 in Clinton, Nebraska, to Alice and Lee Forster. She grew up on a farm in Nebraska and remembered those days fondly. She married Joy Logan Thomas on March 19, 1950 in Gordon, Nebraska. Joy brought her to Pampa where they raised three children. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2008. Vesta was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was proud to be a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter: Betthany; a sister: Velma; and a twin brother: Vester.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Bill Thomas and wife Sue of Brownwood, and Tim Thomas and wife Debbie of Pampa; a daughter: Caroline Smith of Pampa; her younger brother: Veeren Forster of Gordon, Nebraska; 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
