SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 6, 2010, at Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ, with Mark Lance, minister, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Potts was born March 8, 1933 in Hardeman County, Texas. She was a 1951 graduate of Quanah High School and attended Abilene Christian University. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1959, moving from Canadian. Joyzelle married Bill McIntire on December 22, 1951 in Quanah. He preceded her in death in 1973. She later married John Potts on December 2, 1978 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 2006. Joyzelle was owner and operator of Joy's Unlimited for over 25 years. She was a member of Mary Ellen & Harvester Church of Christ and the Twentieth Century Cotillion Study Club. She loved to follow her sons when they played in golf tournaments, attend antique shows, cook for her family and travel extensively. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.The family would like to extend a special thanks to Shepard's Crook Home Health Care and Robbie Sparks for their wonderful care and attention given to Joyzelle over the past several months.SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Kathy Topper of Pampa, and Jan Woods and husband D.C. of Skellytown; 2 sons: Wiley McIntire and wife Karla, and Paul McIntire and Julie Latham, all of Amarillo; brother: Jack Daughtry and wife Florene of Canadian; 7 grandchildren: Michelle Luster of Skellytown, Sheila Anderson, Samantha Parks, Jennifer Read and Keely Downs and husband Jeremiah, all of Pampa, Hayden McIntire and Marley Joyzelle McIntire, both of Amarillo; 11 great-grandchildren: Bailey and Evan Read, Jesse, Ayden and Zoe Downs, April Newsome, Tyler and Braxton Luster, Skyler and Garrett Anderson, and Ryland Early.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
