She had been a resident of Pampa for over 35 years. She was an LVN. She married Kenneth Searl on August 22, 1969. He preceded her in death in 2006. Marilyn was a member of First Baptist Church.SURVIVORS: her mother: Rose Stattler of Pampa; daughter: Julie Mattox of Shenandoah, Iowa; 1 granddaughter: Jera Carter of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sister: Romona Springs of Henderson, Iowa; sister-in-law: Cindy Jones of Pampa; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: William John Carter, III; a sister: Carol Leftwich; and her father: Lyle Stattler.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
