Leland Lewis, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Lesher was born September 19, 1918 in Scipio, Oklahoma. She moved to Borger in 1936, and then moved to Pampa in 1952. She married Earnest Ethan Hutchinson, Jr., in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1947. She later married Jack Lesher on August 26, 1950. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1985. Melba was a homemaker. She was a member of First Assembly of God. She was a member of the VFW as the spouse of two World War II veterans. Melba loved to sing, traveling all around the country with the Bethel Gospel Singers. When she was 18 years old, she traveled to California to try and enter show business. She wrote over 250 poems and songs. She loved spending time with her seven children and numerous grandchildren. Her love extended beyond family to anyone she met.SURVIVORS: 3 sons: Dewey Hutchinson and wife Shirley, David Lesher, and Tim Lesher and wife Vickie, all of Pampa; 3 daughters: Elaine Tristan and Patricia Lesher, both of Pampa, and Linda Caldwell of Lubbock; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. Melba was preceded in death by a son: James Steven Lesher on February 3, 2000; her parents; 9 sisters and 4 brothers.MEMORIALS: Interim Hospice, 2217 Perryton Pkwy., Pampa, Texas 79065.
