SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, August 28, 2010, at First Christian Church in Pampa, with Rev. Gail Davidson, her granddaughter from Orlando, Florida, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Ayres was born January 25, 1916 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Cora Mae Zinn Decker and Denton Wilson Decker. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1934 and married John B. Ayres on September 21, 1936. Lacy worked for 17 years as secretary at B. M. Baker School, retiring in 1970. She was active in Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts, and the Parent Teacher Association. Lacy was a member of First Christian Church in Pampa for 44 years before moving to Amarillo in 1989 where she was a member of First Christian Church in Amarillo. She then moved to Abilene in 2006 and was a member of First Christian Church in Abilene. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sons: Lt. Col. James (Jim) Ayres and Capt. John D. Ayres; a daughter: Mary Helen Ayres Callarman; one sister and one niece.The family wishes to thank Windcrest Alzheimer's Care Center and Hendrick Hospital for their dedicated care of Lacy.SURVIVORS: daughter: Dorothy Davidson; daughter-in-law: Brenda Ayres; son-in-law: William G. (Bill) Callarman; grandchildren: Steve Ayres, Jim Ayres, Allison Johnson and husband Tom, Gwen Parish and husband Mark, Gail Davidson, Julia Fulwood and husband John, and Michael Callarman; 8 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; one niece, three nephews, and many friends, including Ron Weidler and Debbie Weidler Sharp.MEMORIALS: First Christian Church, 1633 N.
