Army, Fort Hood, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Johnson was born August 24, 1948 in Paris, Texas. He attended Clarendon schools, graduating from Clarendon High School in 1966. He joined the U. S. Army in 1968 and was honorably discharged in 1970. Don married Linda Jones on March 27, 1971 in Goodwell, Oklahoma. They moved to Pampa in 1974 with Mobil Oil where Don worked for 25 years, retiring in 1994. He then went to work for Universal Compression, and later for Forest Oil Company. He was a member of Highland Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: wife: Linda Johnson of the home; a daughter: Sonee Johnson of Canadian; a son: Lance Johnson and wife Tracie of Canadian; 3 grandsons: Mason Moore and Jacob Meek, both of Canadian, and Triston Johnson of Corpus Christi; a granddaughter: Sierra Moore of Canadian; brother: Jerry Roy Johnson of Mound Ridge, Kansas; sister: Carol Jones of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
