SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday, August 20, 2010, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Pampa, with Rev. Linda Kelly, rector, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Giggy was born January 15, 1928 in Hillsboro, Kansas. She had been a longtime resident of Pampa and White Deer before moving to Panhandle in 2008. She married Kenneth Giggy on February 14, 1947 in Hutchinson, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1988. Ruth Ann was a Weight Watchers lecturer for 15 years and was a Tiara exclusive independent business owner for 15 years. She was a columnist for the White Deer News and the Panhandle Herald. She was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church and the Altar Guild in Pampa. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Rosina Bartel; and a brother: Melvin Bartel.SURVIVORS: daughter: Cynthia Reneau and husband Willie of Tomball; son: Hugh Giggy and wife Terry of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister: Thelma Bartel of Newton, Kansas; brother: Lewis Bartel of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 3 grandsons: Windell Reneau of College Station; and Todd Giggy and Patrick Giggy, both with the U S.
