SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, August 7, 2010, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Dr. Edwin Cooley, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Cordell, Oklahoma, and Nancy Ruff, commissioned lay pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. Military honors are courtesy of U. S. Army, Fort Hood, Texas, and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. A reception will be held after the services from 11:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at First Presbyterian Church. BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Holcomb was born January 11, 1924 in Campbell. He married Dorothy Dusapin on February 27, 1953 in Billings, Montana. She preceded him in death on July 23, 2000. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during World War II with the Corps of Engineers in the Philippines. Jim moved to Pampa in 1961 and worked for Thurmond-McGlothlin until 1969. That same year, he formed Pantechs Laboratories which he operated for many years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Jim enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. SURVIVORS: a son: Steve Holcomb of Lubbock; 2 daughters: Marci Kissock and husband Brian of San Diego, California, and Lynne Moore and husband Cody of Pampa; 3 grandsons: Ryan Holcomb of Midland, and David Moore and Jordan Moore, both of Pampa; a granddaughter: Stephanie Stanford of Lubbock; a great-granddaughter: Alexandra Holcomb of Midland; 2 great-grandsons: Austin Holcomb of Midland and Graham Stanford of Lubbock; a brother: Kenneth Holcomb and wife Irene of Trinity.
