SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Kurt Foster, son-in-law, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. LaRue was born January 9, 1927 in Choctaw County, Oklahoma. He had been a longtime resident of Pampa and Gray County, and was a former resident of Eunice, New Mexico where he worked for Albertson's for 15 years, retiring in 2007. He was a meat packer for many years, working for packing plants in Pampa and Amarillo. Hoyt was a member of the Church of Christ and was a former member of McCullough Street Church of Christ. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving during World War II.SURVIVORS: son: Dean LaRue and wife Phyllis of Mobeetie; daughter: Frankie Foster and husband Kurt of Pampa; sister: Anna Lee Abernathy of Denton; sister-in-law: Ruby Schulz of Opp, Alabama; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren. Hoyt was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary, his second wife, Elsie, and a son, H. D. LaRue.MEMORIALS: to a favorite charity.
