SERVICES: 10:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2010, at First Assembly of God, with Pastor Lonny Robbins of Trinity Fellowship, and Pastor Leland Lewis of First Assembly of God, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Walker was born October 26, 1922 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to John and Margaret Meeks Richey. The family moved to Texas when Lois was young, where her father owned a blacksmith and welding shop. She had four sisters who all live in Texas.Lois married Gerald Walker on October 3, 1943 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1995. Gerald was in the U. S. Air Force and went AWOL to go home to get married. Lois and Gerald lived in many parts of the U. S. during Gerald's military career. While Gerald flew planes in the Korean Conflict, Lois stayed with her parents. One night, Lois woke in the middle of the night, knowing Gerald was in danger. As Lois prayed, Gerald had lost his engines over the China Sea and was also praying not to crash. The engines finally recovered and Gerald was able to make it to safety.Lois and Gerald moved to Edgewater, Colorado in 1954, to Arvada in 1962, and back to Pampa in 2007. Lois was involved in Christian Women, Women Aglow, Arvada Sewing Guild and many church activities. She enjoyed being with and helping others.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Dennis Walker and friend Kim Gatanis of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Jerry Walker and friend Mary Wells of Lakewood, Colorado; a daughter: Willene Parry and husband Paul of San Jacinto, California; 3 sisters: Johnnie Rohde and June Robbins, both of Pampa, Maxine Suggs of Dallas; and 2 grandsons: Daniel Parry and Matthew Parry, both of San Jacinto, California.
