SERVICES: 2:00 PM Thursday, July 1, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa with Dr. Stan Cosby, pastor of St. Stephen United Methodist Church in Amarillo, officiating.BURIAL: White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Barnard was born March 21, 1926 in Kennedale, Texas and was a resident of White Deer from 1958 until 1992. She married H. P. "Buss" Barnard on Aug. 7, 1958 in Pampa. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Barnard was a graduate of the Harris College of Nursing in Fort Worth. She was a staff nurse at Highland General Hospital in Pampa, and later she became director of nursing at Panhandle Health Services from 1980 until her retirement in 1992. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in White Deer.SURVIVORS: Son: Pat Barnard and wife Nita of Stratford; 2 daughters: Cyndy Heald and husband Bob of Lubbock and Carolyn Barnard of Greenville, South Carolina; a sister: Sue Braddock of Arlington; and 4 grandchildren: Mandi Barnard and Matthew Heald, both of Lubbock, Brooke Barnard of College Station, and Bret Barnard of Stratford.MEMORIALS: Meals on Wheels, 2304 34th St., Lubbock, TX 79411 or United Methodist Church, 101 W. 8th, White Deer, TX 79097.
