SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 28, 2010, at Memory Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Roy King, pastor at First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Mason was born January 17, 1914 in Woodland, Washington to Benjiman Levi and Divis Leona Reynolds Keifer, graduating from Sapulap High School in 1933. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1940. She married Lester Mason on November 24, 1945 in Pampa. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1967. Mary worked at Woolworth's and M. E. Moses for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church where she taught Sunday School for 52 years, and was a member of the "Women or Odds and Ends" Club. She was proud of her Native American Indian heritage with the Creek Nation Tribe. She kept her heritage alive by making lye soap, caps and slippers, jellies and jams. Later, she kept her giving spirit alive by crocheting and knitting hats and slippers for local schools in Pampa. She was given the title "Mrs. Clause," and was honored by having her ride in the Christmas parade. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.SURVIVORS: 6 cousins: Pamela Reid and husband Danny and Angie Reid and husband David, all of Amarillo, Brandy Moore of Jersey City, New Jersey, Don Moore and wife Jerry of Panhandle, Bob Moore and wife Ruth of Denver, Colorado, and Billie Moore and husband Michael of South Texas; and her church friend: Shirley Winborne of Pampa.MEMORIALS: First Christian Church, 1633 N.
