SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. C. W. Parker, chaplain of Odyssey Healthcare, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Leverett was born March 4, 1921 in Houston to George and Lucille Barry and was reared in Childress. She graduated from Childress High School and attended Texas Women's University in Denton. She married J. Roy Leverett on Oct. 18, 1942 who preceded her in death in 2001. Billie was a sorority housemother for Alpha Chi Omega at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia for 17 years. She was also an accomplished artist. Mrs. Leverett had been a resident of Pampa since 1995. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Betty May of Athens, Georgia, and a brother, Jack Barry, of Columbus, Georgia.SURVIVORS: two sons: Nick Leverett and wife Jannie of Plano and Barry Leverett of Colorado Springs, CO; a daughter: Judi Edwards and husband Jack of Pampa; three grandsons: Cliff Medley of Amarillo, Matt Leverett and wife Sadi of Colleyville, and Clay Leverett and wife Stacey of Keller; two granddaughters: Tracy Alvord and husband Rich of Lewisville and Serra Leverett of California; and ten great grandchildren.
