SERVICES: 4:00 PM Monday, June 14, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Charles Lowry, pastor of CrossPointe Church, officiating. Cremation will follow, with arrangements under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Ward was born May 3, 1940 in Avery. He married Peggy Coburn on March 8, 1982 in Hereford. He had been a resident of Pampa since 1982. He was a foreman for Asplundh Tree Expert Company for 53 years, until the time of his death. He owned and operated Ward Trees Service for 33 years. He was a member of CrossPointe Church and the Top O' Texas Masonic Lodge #1381 AF&AM.SURVIVORS: wife: Peggy Ward of the home; 2 sons: Jacky Ward and wife Carol of Lubbock and Doyle Ward and wife Char of Pampa; 2 daughters: Vicki Podzemny and husband Ray of Sedan, New Mexico, and Dawn Little and husband John of Shawnee, Oklahoma; brother: Bennie Ward of Amarillo; sister: Maggie Matson of Aurora, Colorado, 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
