SERVICE: Graveside Service will be 9:00 AM Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in Dodson Cemetery in Dodson, Texas with Pastor Jimmye Cole, officiating. Memorial service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at First United Methodist Church in Pampa with Rev. Jeff Taylor, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Lewis was born July 13, 1932 in Hollis, Oklahoma to Jess Truman Bogle and Bertha Walker Bogle. She was raised by her maternal aunt, Bernice Walker Bogle. She graduated from Dodson High School in 1950, salutatorian of her class. On October 1, 1950, she married William Herschel Lewis of Wellington. She was a homemaker and mother of four daughters. She was known for her cooking, fine needlework, woodcarving, gardening, and artwork. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, and a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step mother.SURVIVORS: her husband, William Herschel Lewis of the home. 1 sister Mary Lou Brown of Santa Maria, California; 4 daughters: Nancy Jane Landry and husband Rivest, Wendy Ruth Cole and husband Rev. Jim Cole all of Pampa, Molly Ann Benson and husband Roy of Mt. Pleasant, and Amy Denise Dyer and husband Bill of Amarillo. 8 grandchildren: Jason Paul Landry of Dallas, Bryan Keith Landry of Fort Worth, Sarah Ellen Landry of New Orleans, Louisiana, Amanda Lee Garcia of Elkhart, Kansas, James Adam Cole of Venus, William Aaron Benson of Dallas, Jesse Andrew Benson of Mesquite, and B.J. Dyer of Amarillo; 7 great grandchildren: Christopher D. Garcia, Anjelica Garcia, Noah Esparza, Adrian Cole, Gage Cole, Clayton Cole, and Mason Landry. MEMORIALS: Lovett Memorial Library, 111 N.
