Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Simpson was born to Jack and Jody Powell on September 29, 1948 in Groom, Texas. She has lived in the panhandle area most of her life, the last 14 years has been in Lefors. She worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 6 years, and also worked various positions at Albertson's for many years. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, and being with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Jack Powell.SURVIVORS: her husband: Jerry Simpson of the home. 2 daughters: Dawna Hearon and husband Vincent of Pampa, and Robin McCullough and husband Jake of Gruver. 1 son: Chris Homer and wife Gracie of Amarillo. 2 step daughters: Heather Simpson of Dallas and Heidi Klein of Mineola. Her mother: Jody Powell of Panhandle; 1 sister: Margaret Milam of Pampa. 3 grandchildren: Isaiah Homer, Hunter Homer, and Logan McCullough. 1 niece: Le Arnn and 1 nephew: Tom Milam; several great nieces and nephews, and her loving biker family.
