After graduation, she moved to Dallas to study radiology. She moved to Pampa in 1958 and went to work at Columbia Medical Center as a radiology technician, receiving the Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year awards. Mary worked in the medical field for 46 years, retiring in the mid 1990's. She was a Baptist. In her spare time, she enjoyed making crafts, painting, cooking and reading. She also helped any children who needed her, and they would call her "Aunt Mary." She will be remembered as the best sister in the world.SURVIVORS: sister: Sonja Young and husband Jesse D. of Dumas; 2 nephews: Terry Young and wife Cynthia of Brian, and Roger Young and wife Jessica of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; 3 grand nieces: Sonja Young of Follett, Sabre Young of Amarillo, and Kristin Young of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; 3 grand nephews: Remington Young of Afghanistan, Joshua Young and Cooper Young, both of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; 2 aunts: Faye Mullinax of Amarillo and Eunice Mills.
