Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Alexander was born June 6, 1932 in Arnold, Nebraska to Ralph and Irene Alexander, and was a graduate of Kearney High School in Kearney, Nebraska. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and later served in the Naval Reserve. He was a resident of Pampa for over 20 years before moving to Lefors in 1974. Ralph married Ruby Mae Williams who preceded him in death in 1969. He later married Maudie Taylor on June 7, 1974 in Lefors. He worked for Tri-City Office Supply in Pampa, National Life & Accident, and was a radio officer for the Merchant Marines before becoming a rural mail carrier. Ralph was a member of First Baptist Church of Lefors. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was a member of the Old Wingers Motorcycle Club. His prized possession was his 1961 Thunderbird. He enjoyed feeding his customers' pets on his rural mail route. SURVIVORS: wife: Maudie Alexander of the home; 2 sons: Don Alexander and wife Beverly of Pampa, Dale Alexander of Amarillo, and step-son: James Taylor and wife Heidi of Canyon; 3 step-daughters: Linda Bruton and husband Jim of Pampa, Sheila White of Amarillo, and Darla Ferguson and husband John of Keller; 3 sisters: Gwen Walters of Larned, Kansas, JoAnn Bagley and husband Ron of St. Mary's, Georgia, and Judy Lookhart and husband George of Manhattan, Kansas; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law: Susie Trout of McLean.
