Alan Wilson, pastor, officiating.BURIAL: White Deer Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Ms. Lavake was born Feb. 17, 1931 in Erick, Oklahoma to Robert William and Gladys Opal Evans. She was a resident of White Deer from 1953 until 1972 when she moved to Amarillo. She returned to White Deer in 2004. Joan was a nurse for BSA Hospital in Amarillo, and she enjoyed farming and traveling. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she visited nearly every day. She was a former member of San Jacinto Baptist Church in Amarillo and recently joined First Baptist Church in White Deer. SURVIVORS: 2 daughters: Cheryl Lanham and husband Butch and Nancy Garrison and husband Steven, all of White Deer; 4 grandchildren: Richard Lanham and wife Dondra and Monica Garrison, all of White Deer; Tashell Kingston and husband Jimmy of Hedley; and Michele Wallach and husband Tyler of Hobbs, NM; 6 great grandchildren: Jaxon Rogers, Isaac Lanham and Keira Smith, all of White Deer; Ava Grace Wallach and Parker Wallach of Hobbs, NM; and Coltin Kingston of Hedley; and a sister-in-law, Louise Evans of Texhoma, OK. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Bob D. Evans.MEMORIALS: First Baptist Church, 411 S. Omohundro, White Deer, TX 79097.
