Norma Eileen Shackelford

SERVICES: 2:00 PM Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Carmichael-Whatley Colonial Chapel in Pampa, with Rev. Dr. Jerry R. Lane, pastor of the United Methodist Church of White Deer, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa.BIOGRAPHY: Norma Eileen Shackelford was born May 23, 1924 in Garden City, Kansas, the oldest child of Samuel Raymond and Ethel Joseph Stevenson. She married Glen O. Harman on September 13, 1942 in Liberal, Kansas. Glen died in action in 1945 during World War II, about one month after the death of their son, Larry Glenn Harman. Norma later married Albert U. Shackelford, Jr., on January 18, 1947 in Garden City, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1991. They moved to Pampa in 1965 where she resided until 2005 when she moved to Plainview. Norma was a homemaker and a realtor, serving a term as president of the Pampa Board of Realtors.SURVIVORS: two sons: Robert Shackelford and wife Kathryn of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Mark Shackelford and wife Pam of Plainview; four grandsons: Kevin Shackelford of Loveland, Colorado, Donovan Shackelford and wife Sonia of Las Vegas, Nevada, Scott Shackelford and wife Jacie of Orlando, Florida, and Matthew Shackelford of Lubbock; one granddaughter: Holly Graham of Amarillo; 2 great-grandsons: Brady Shackelford and Logan Shackelford, both of Loveland, Colorado; a brother: John Stevenson of Niotaze, Kansas; and a sister: Betty Ragland of Shell Knob, Missouri.
