Ruby Frances Royse

SERVICES: 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church with Steve Porter of the Primitive Baptist Church of Paducah, Rob Royse, her cousin of Oklahoma City, and Peck Keeler of Atlanta, GA, officiating.BURIAL: Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Royse was born Oct. 6, 1928 in Dustin, Oklahoma. She was a 1946 graduate of Elk City High School in Elk City, Oklahoma. She married Dr. Kenneth Royse on Dec. 22, 1946 in Elk City, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2004. Ruby and her husband owned and operated Royse Animal Hospital in Pampa from 1959 until 2004. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church and Pampa Altrusa Club where she held several offices, including president from 1984-1985. Ruby was a member and past president of Pampa Knife and Fork Club and was a board member of the Pampa Fine Arts Association.SURVIVORS: a son: Jim Royse and wife Marsha of Pampa; a grandson: John Royse of Fort Worth; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Carrie Bozeman, and by a brother, Henry Gordon Bozeman.MEMORIALS: Pampa Meals on Wheels, 302 E.
