SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at the First Christian Church with Rev. Paul Carruth, associate area minister for the Christian Church in the Southwest, officiating.BURIAL: Private burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Carruth was born on Nov. 27, 1937 in Borger. He moved to Pampa at the age of 3 where he attended school. He attended Wentworth Military Academy in Lexington, Missouri where he graduated in 1957. Dayne married Beverley Bonnell on May 21, 1960 in Clovis, New Mexico. He began working for Cities Service Oil Co. in 1964 in Ulysses, Kansas and returned to Pampa in 1975 where he retired from Cities Service and its successive companies after 40 years of service. He was a member of First Christian Church and was an avid carpenter, woodworker, and home remodeler. Dayne loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them and being "Papa" to his grandson, Jackson. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.SURVIVORS: Wife: Beverley Carruth of the home; a son: Jeffery Dayne Carruth of Dallas; a grandson: Jackson Dayne Carruth of Dallas; 2 sisters: Barbara West and husband Russell of Houston and Yvonne Winegeart of McKinney; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
