SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Capt. Mark Martin of the Salvation Army, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Hoskins was born July 13, 1936 in Durant, Oklahoma, moving to the Gray County area when he was a young boy. He married Carolyn Rountree on June 3, 1955 in Pampa. He worked as a truck driver for many years. Upon his retirement, he ran a paper route for Amarillo Globe News. He was a Baptist. In his spare time, James liked to read. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by his family and friends.SURVIVORS: wife: Carolyn Hoskins of the home; 2 sons: Gary Hoskins and Terry Hoskins, both of Pampa; 3 brothers: Gene Hoskins and wife Clara of White Deer, Don Hoskins of Amarillo, and Charles Hoskins and wife Pat of Austin; 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren. James was preceded in death by a son: Cecil Marques Hoskins; and his parents.
