SERVICES: Memorial services will be at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, with Rev. Doug Hixson, pastor, and Darrell Burton, Hospice of the Southwest chaplain, officiating. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Manning was born April 1, 1927 in Wellington where she attended Wellington schools. She married Bobby Jack Manning in 1967 in Amarillo, and he preceded her in death in 1972. She had been a resident of Pampa since 1971. She was employed for Furr's Grocery Store for 22 years, retiring in 1991. She later worked at Baker Elementary School for 5 years. Maxine was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. The family would like to thank Julie, Barbara, Martha, Darrell Burton and Dr. Revell of Hospice of the Southwest, and the staff of Shepard's Crook for their love and special care of their mother. SURVIVORS: 3 daughters: Janet West and husband Brad of Norcross, Georgia, Nita Fox and fiancée Stacy of Houston, and Diana West of Pampa; 2 sons: Cal West and wife Sherry of Corona, New Mexico, and David Cook and girlfriend Margie of Pampa; 4 granddaughters: Gina Teffeteller and husband Tim of Laguna Niguel, California, Misty McCampbell of Clarendon, Kelli West of Plainview, and April West of Pampa; 7 grandsons: D. J. VanCronchite of Norcross, Georgia, San West and wife Kim of Hedley, Ryan Fox and Caleb Fox, both of Houston, Alton Cook and wife Cynthia of Pampa, Joshua Cook and wife Pegan of Amarillo, and Dusty Cook; 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents: Benjamin Franklin and Alma Foree Ford; 2 sisers: Olene Battreall and Pearl Brown; brother-in-law: Bill Brown; and 2 granddaughters: Chrissy Cheek and Audrey Fitzpatrick.MEMORIALS: Hospice of the Southwest, 1301 S.
