SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Fairview Cemetery, with Rev. Francisco Perez, pastor of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. VonKanel was born May 4, 1960 in Houston to Garland L. and Helen Jones. She had been a resident of Houston most of her life, moving to Pampa 8 years ago. She graduated from North Shore High School in Galena Park in 1977. She married Darrell Jansen VonKanel shortly after graduating high school. She loved to read and collect dolphins and dragons.SURVIVORS: 1 son: D. J. VonKanel of Pampa; her parents: Leroy and Helen Jones of Cleveland, Texas; 3 brothers: Garland Leroy Jones, Jr. of Houston, James Eric Jones of Crosby, and Jay Paul Jones of Galena Park; a sister: Karen Jackson of Cleveland, Texas; 1 grandson: Seabastian VonKanel of Katy; 1 granddaughter: Madelyn VonKanel of Pampa; many nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her husband; and a son: Josh VonKanel.
