SERVICES: Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery, with Dr. Johnny Funderburg, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Sugar was born June 24, 1954 in Monroe, Louisiana. He grew up in White Deer, graduating from White Deer High School. He married Darlene Miller on January 16, 1973 in White Deer. He was a rotating equipment specialist for Celanese, retiring in 2009 after 30 years of service. Gary was a member of First Baptist Church. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.SURVIVORS: wife: Darlene Sugar of the home; 2 sons: Stephen Sugar of Plainview, and Chris Sugar and wife Dusti of Amarillo; his mother: Betty Dyar Locke of Pampa; 1 sister: Carol Martin and husband Mark of San Saba; 3 brothers: Larry Locke of Dallas, and Bruce Locke and wife Sandra of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Marty Sugar of Monroe, Louisiana; 6 grandchildren: Allison, Austin, Ashleigh and Landon Sugar, and Paige and Blake Milum; his aunt: Janice Evans and husband Martin of Shreveport, Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
