SERVICES: 2:00 PM Friday, January 8, 2010, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum, with Tim Roberts, his son, and Capt. Mark Martin of the Salvation Army Church, officiating.BURIAL: Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Roberts was born April 13, 1934 in Wheeler County to Thomas Dewey and Laura Jana Roberts. They moved to Pampa while Billy was a boy. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. He loved to help with the projects of the VFW and Freedom Museum USA. Billy loved his fellow veteran brothers. He was very patriotic and proud to have served his country. We, too, are very proud of his service and theirs.Billy married Shirley Williamson, and they had a son, Tim Roberts. He later married Nancy Joslyn who died in an automobile accident in 1964 that left Billy partially paralyzed. He also married Lorraine Schutt, and they had a son, Darrell Roberts. Billy worked in the oilfield before his accident. He was born again and baptized at Barrett Baptist Church in Pampa in 1965. He served God at the Salvation Army Church in Pampa until he was called home. Billy made his journey home under the loving care of the angels working at BSA Hospice in Amarillo. Billy was preceded in death by his parents; his three wives; a sister: Veta Crocker; and 2 brothers-in-law: Q. D. Crocker and J. P. Wright.SURVIVORS: 2 sons: Tim Roberts and wife Ginger of Pampa, and Darrell Roberts and wife Gayle of White Lake, Michigan; a sister: Wanda Wright of Pampa; 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and very special friends and neighbors, including: Howard "Blackie" Adamson and wife Mattie.
